Program Overview
This program is designed to provide maternal-fetal medicine
specialists, obstetricians, radiologists, sonographers, and genetic counselors with
experience in ultrasound. The faculty will review the ultrasound findings and describe
management of numerous abnormalities, both common and rare, in every organ system in the
human fetus.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- describe the categories of anomalies in the human fetus.
- recognize a variety of congenital anomalies.
- identify common artifacts encountered when performing fetal ultrasound.
- discuss findings associated with various congenital anomalies.
- demonstrate the systematic approach to scanning the human fetus.
- list the principle issues in managing a variety of congenital anomalies.
- cite requirements for accreditation of ultrasound units
