Test images

The following is the type of images we will help you resolve. These are in fact actual questions from the course's test. These are very very difficult questions designed to challenge even the most experienced. On average only 10% of our participant are able to answer such question before taking the course. Of course we do cover everything, not just Doppler, but I did not want to insult your intelligence by showing a simple case like a gastroschisis (also covered in the course).

Case #1

This pulsed-wave Doppler image is obtained from the cord of a 22-week fetus which was not breathing during the examination.

  1. List 3 important observations about the rhythm.
  2. What can you say about the anatomy of the heart
  3. What is the most likely cardiac anomaly associated with such a morphology ?
  4. What syndrome is the most likely in this fetus ?

Case #2

This unusual image is obtained in the cord.

  1. What is the most likely anomaly?
  2. Around what day of embryology did a significant event happen (or fail to happen)?
  3. What is the recurrence risk?
  4. What is the most likely sex?

If you get all 10 answers easily (yes, 10, there are 3 answers for the first part of the first question), the course will only brush up your knowledge. If you have any hesitations, you will probably learn quite a few practical pearls.
